CityTube uses cookies and similar technologies only where they are needed to operate the platform. We do not use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies.
Cookies we set
When you sign in, we set a session cookie so that you stay signed in, together with the cookies needed to protect the sign-in process against cross-site request forgery. The session cookie cannot be read by scripts in your browser and expires after seven days. If you never sign in, CityTube does not set any cookies.
Storage in your browser
We use your browser’s session storage to remember which videos have already been counted as viewed, so a single view is not counted more than once. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and your browser clears it when you close the tab.
Video playback
Videos are embedded through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain, which does not set cookies while a video is only displayed. Once you start playing a video, YouTube may set its own cookies. Those cookies are set by YouTube and are covered by Google’s privacy and cookie policies.
Changes
Additional cookies may be introduced as CityTube develops. Where required, users will be able to manage their cookie preferences.
